Dynamic Mechanisms of Query Building

Dollars to donuts, your system has at least a couple of SQL queries that developers are afraid to touch - Michael has seen those in EVERY database he has ever reviewed (including his own). You may hope that tossing more hardware or hiring the very best DBA in the industry can keep everything running, but there are cheaper and more efficient ways of solving that problem: Dynamic SQL, object collections, and macros (starting 19c) can transform barely-readable blob of text into well-structured, well-understood, and well-optimized code. Dynamic mechanisms of query building merge the power of SQL and the tight control of PL/SQL into a contemporary powerhouse. This presentation will show how you can benefit from the 21st-century style of database development!

Presented by Michael Rosenblum, Software Architect/Development DBA at Dulcian, Inc.

This event is co-hosted by the New York Oracle Users Group (www.nyoug.org) and Oracle Professional Services firm, Viscosity North America (www.viscosityna.com)
