Charles Kim is a co-founder and CEO of Viscosity North America, an Oracle ACE Director, and a VMware vExpert. Charles is an Oracle Certified DBA, a Certified RAC Expert and a Certified Exadata Implementation Specialist. Charles specializes in Exadata, RAC, and Virtualization (VMware and Oracle VM) and authored over 15 books.

Charles holds certifications in Oracle, VMware, Red Hat Linux, and Microsoft and has over 25 years of Oracle experience. Charles sat on the panel of oracle experts at VM World and Oracle OpenWorld for virtualization and Linux. Charles was one of the founding members of the virtualization SIG that launched in 2011 at Oracle OpenWorld. Charles is currently the Vice President of the Cloud Computing SIG for the IOUG.

He is an active member of the QUEST IOUG Database & Technology Community, serving on the advisory board. Gary is an Oracle ACE associate, and frequent presenter at Oracle OpenWorld and COLLABORATE.

With a career spanning over 35 years’ IT experience, Troy Ligon has focused on Oracle systems since the mid-1980’s. In that time, Troy has held senior roles with a variety of Fortune 100 companies, including Vice President of Global Systems at CitiBank, Director of Enterprise Growth Technologies at American Express, Principal Architect of North America at The Nielsen Company, Principal Technical Consultant at IBM, Manager of Database Administration at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and others. Most recently, Troy has joined InComm, Inc. as an Enterprise Architect, helping to define the IT architectural roadmaps for this privately held, multi-national, $50billion/year, financial services company.

Troy is very active in the Oracle community and is a regular speaker at conferences across the country. As President of the Suncoast Oracle Users Group in Tampa, FL, Troy has been hosting monthly presentations since 2006. Troy has volunteered with the Independent Oracle Users Group since 2004 and joined the IOUG Board of Directors in 2015. In 2017, Troy was awarded Oracle ACE status, joining a group of less than 500 individuals worldwide so recognized for their technical expertise and contributions to the Oracle community.

Maria Colgan is a master product manager at Oracle Corporation and has been with the company since version 7.3 was released in 1996. Maria’s core responsibility is to advocate for the Oracle Database and the best practices for incorporating it into your environments. She is also responsible for getting the feedback from our customers and partners incorporated into future releases of the product.

Prior to this role; she was the product manager for Oracle Database In-Memory and the Oracle Database query optimizer.

Rich Niemiec is the current Chief Innovation Officer of Viscosity North America. Rich is an Oracle Ace Director, a world renowned IT Expert, and was a co-founder and the CEO of TUSC, a Chicago-based systems integrator of Oracle-based business solutions started in 1988. Rich has served as President of Rolta TUSC and Rolta EICT.

Rich is the past President of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and the current President of the Midwest Oracle Users Group (MOUG). Rich has architected and tuned many Fortune 500 systems over the past 25 years.

His experience in data processing ranges from teaching to consulting, with emphasis in database administration, performance tuning, project management and technical education. Rich is one of six originally honored worldwide Oracle Certified Masters and advised Oracle development from time to time. In 2017, he authored the Oracle “Oracle12c Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques,” an update of his previous 4 Oracle best sellers on Oracle8i, 9i, 10g, and 11i Performance Tuning. Rich was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 1998.

Andy Rivenes is a Product Manager at Oracle for Database In-Memory. Prior to that Andy was a Product Manager for Heat Map, Automatic Data Optimization, SecureFiles and DBFS. Andy has spent a large part of his career managing Oracle databases and he now spends his time helping customers implement Database In-Memory as well as providing information about Database In-Memory through blogs, conferences, and customer visits.
